Anet used to say they weren't against farming but actions speak louder than words.

And making doing all of the war in kryta stuff a prerequisite to get to the new quest? Stupid.

/facepalm.

I didnt think about that. But why would they need to change the hom for new minis. I dont think theyve had to do that in the past..

Not a huge thing but I noticed that they added an animation/sound effect for Accumulated Pain and Recurring Insecurity as these spells never had either previously. Not sure about any other skills. Still it's nice that they are paying attention to the small things.

Stupid is an understatement. No one wants to read the damn blade camp dialogs multiple times. No one wants to run out there multiple times. No one wants to bounce all over the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing maps just to be able to do one teeny tiny little quest. -_-

As a (former) PvE-mesmer player, I love most of these changes. Too bad it took ANet over 5 years to finally address such a well-known problem. I'd given up playing that toon beyond a few of the more rewarding z-quests since it just wasn't effective enough in many areas of PvE. Time to dust it off and try it again.

Aside from the mesmer buffs, I'm glad that Anet finally gave us some playable WiK content.

Best part of this update was the influx of newly created mesmers in JQ.

Turns out you still need to l2play and skills dont change that.

Getting faceraped with frenzy and emp on is sad brah.

yeah, i managed to get a few glads today running PA pressure playing against 3-4 mesmer teams. half the people abusing this broken garbage are terrible players, the other half are just mediocre.

That doesn't even bother me that much, I'm mostly annoyed with getting the stuff for several chars... right now I'm farming Grawl Necklaces so I can get some honeycombs so that I can make candles

Illusionary Weaponry: added the following functionality: you have +5 armor for each Illusion Magic skill you have equipped.

question i have about this update from the test krewe or anet, will this stack past the max of 25 armor? will it be a waste to have more then 5 illusion skills? or does the armor stacking kick in after? i have a few creative ideas for builds but all depends on the armor stacking issue. with base armor, blessed insignia on armor, and 5 illusion skills, it would be a base of 95 armor. if u had a shield add in 8-16 armor. if you went scythe u lose the shield armor but if the 25 armor from the illusion skills dont count towards the armor stacking then you could take an armor boosting skill bringing u up to about 120 armor or more.

Holy damn, those are quite a pair of daggers. Curious to see what the rest of the new weapon skins look like. People are already capitalizing on the new drops - some fellow was selling one of the hammers for 80e.

I don't understand why they added a cap to skill activation and nerfed Mindbender? Was anyone moaning that Mindbender was overpowered? I've never heard anyone say they activate skills too quickly. The update notes seem to indicate that they added a cap to make Fast casting more "valuable"? What? Nerf everyone else so people notice mesmers more?? Is it to make it easier for mobs to interrupt us? I was never aware that they ever had any such problem.

And so much for stacking Healer's Boon with Holy Haste for healing ToPK.

"If it ain't broke, break it!", seems to be Anets motto. They set out to do something good and mess up stuff that never had a problem.
